Three adorable little ones aged 7 years old (Boy), 4 years old (Girl) and 1,5 months old (Girl) are looking for their French speaking nanny from Monday to Friday from 1pm to 7.30pm during school period and from 8.30am to 7.30pm during school holidays. The candidate must be flexible, she will have to work on some weekend days (overtime would be paid double). The position will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care, alongside the Mum who works part-time.
During school term, the role will be mainly to provide care for the baby and general nursery duties. However, when the oldest are at home, you will have to entertain them through diverse activities in French, and prepare healthy and balanced meals for all the children. The nanny would be required to keep the playroom and children’s bedrooms tidy, but the nanny is not required to do any laundry, or any other housekeeping duties. During school holidays, the care will be more even across all three children, including organising fun and educational activities.
The perfect candidate will have prior experience of teaching French to children in some capacity, such as in previous nanny roles, as a governess, and / or as a teacher. A teaching qualification is preferred, but not required.
The nanny would be required to go on some (but not all) holidays with the family. These will generally be within the UK or Europe.
The nanny needs to feel comfortable with animals as the family has two friendly dogs, a Miniature Sausage dog (Dachshund) and a Cocker Spaniel.
The nanny must have a valid driving license and be comfortable to drive in the UK.
Parents don’t speak French so the nanny has to be fluent in English.
Accomodation: From April 2021, the nanny would be provided with their own studio flat in a newly restored building next to the main family house.
For the interim period prior to that, the nanny would need to live out, and the family would cover those costs. For living locally, the family could assist in finding suitable rented accommodation. A ‘reverse commute’ from London is also a feasible option.
